Overview

This 24-port Enterprise-Class Network Switch provides flexibility with its 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE Ultra and an additional 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE+, 4 100/1000/10,000Mbps SFP slots. This switch provides a high-performance switch architecture and non-blocking switch fabric capable of wire-speed throughput as high as 95.23Gbps.

Powerful PoE Support

The NS4703-24P-4X features both IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++) and IEEE 802.3af/at Power over Ethernet (PoE+) and up to 450 Watts of PoE budget providing optimized deployment and power management of PoE edge devices such as IP PTZ Surveillance cameras. access control panels and wireless access points.

Intelligent Powered Device alive check

The NS4703-24P-4X supports PD Alive Check which can be configured to monitor connected PD (Powered Device) status in real time via ping action. Once the powered device stops working and responding, the NS4703-24P-4X will reset the PoE port power and try to bring the PD back to work.

PoE schedule for Energy Saving

The PoE schedule function allows you to enable or disable PoE power for each PoE port during specified time intervals. This powerful function offers an easy help to save power and money by for example disabling power for devices during non-business hours.

Extending Ethernet data transmission distance and PoE+ power

In the Extend operation mode, the NS4703-24P-4X operates on a per-port basis at 10Mbps duplex operation but can support 23- or 85-watt PoE power output over a distance of up to 250 meters overcoming the 100m limit on Ethernet UTP cable.

Powerful security

The NS4703-24P-4X offers comprehensive IPv4/IPv6 Layer 2 to Layer 4 Access Control List (ACL) for enforcing security to the edge. It can be used to restrict network access by denying packets based on source and destination IP address, TCP/UDP ports or defined typical network applications. With the protected port function, communication between edge ports can be prevented to guarantee user privacy. Furthermore, Port security function allows to limit the number of network devices on a given port.
